Nadine Glas ( *1992)

Starting from the versed graphic-designer’s motivation to express certain facts in the simplest way possible, Nadine Glas’s artistic work is all about basic symbols.

In her latest work the Dresden based artist develops abstract shapes and orders out of different objects or stories. Throughout  the  working  progress, which the artist herself describes as a seek for form, Nadine Glas generates symbols which reappear and interact in different relations in a lot of her art pieces. Painted poetry fixes memories, the artist’s iconography of pop-symbols transfers codes into stories. In doing so,it is not the intention of the artist to force on a certain narration, but  much more to inspire the viewer to gather a personal one.
Nadine Glas’s work resembles a ragbag of different media, lately she mainly operates with drawings on paper and hand-weaving. At the same time, she is looking for possibilities to transfer her pictures into the room as walk-in-stories.

2014, Nadine Glas graduated in communication-design at Designschule München.
In autumn 2020, she received her diploma of Fine Arts at HfBK Dresden. Currently, she completes her master studies with Prof. Anne Neukamp.
